Parents' Charter


  • Parents/carers are required to stand on the opposite side of the pitch to the coaches at training and matches.
  • Parents/carers should not get involved in any form of negative shouting from the touchline and/or provide instructions to players.
  • Be realistic about your child’s capabilities. 
  • If you or your child has any concerns/issues please raise them immediately with an appropriate Academy staff.
  • Set a good example to players by demonstrating good sportsmanship and respect to others.
  • Inform the coach ASAP if your child is unable to attend coaching or matches.
  • Encourage good habits.       
  • Encourage your child to practice new skills.
  • Encourage a balanced lifestyle between sporting, academic, social and other interests.
  • Try and encourage your child to eat healthily and regular intervals. Encourage your child to have an adequate supply of water before and after games.
  • Try and get your child to take responsibility for their football education, i.e. packing their kit bag, cleaning their boots etc.
